From the Book of Stars!

From the Book of Stars!

Chapter 1:

1 In the beginning the Jeffs created the host and the xy file.
2 Now the xy file was formless and empty, and darkness was over the
galaxy, and the Jeffs was hovering over the surface of the machine code.
3 And the Jeffs said, "Let there be encrytion," and there was encrytion.
4 And the Jeffs saw that the encryption was good, and the Jeffs
separated the stars from the encrytion.
5 And evening was and morning was; the first day.
6 And the Jeffs said, "Let there be an expanse between the encrytion
separating the stars from the other stars."
7 And so the Jeffs made hypersapce, and they separated the stars
beneath the expanse from the stars above the expanse. And it was so.
8 The Jeffs called the expanse "the galaxy." And evening was and
morning was: the second day.
9 And the Jeffs said, "Let the space beneath the encrytion of a star be
gathered into one place, and let a planet appear." And so it was.
10 And the Jeffs called the dry ground "planet" and the gathered vacuum
they called "orbit." And the Jeffs saw that it was good.
11 Then the Jeffs said, "Let the galaxy produce race files: hyper-
producers, and hyper-growth bearing peoples with their proper seed
inside, on the planet." And so it was.
12 And the race file produced aliens: races bearing the seed of their
kind, and factoryless beings bearing fruit with their proper seed
inside. And the Jeffs saw that it was good.
13 And evening was and morning was: the third day.
14 And the Jeffs said, "Let there be turn files in the expanse of the
galaxy to separate the x from the m, and let them be as signs for the
years.
15 And let there be utilities in the expanse of the galaxy to bring
understanding to the game." And so it was.
16 And the Jeffs made the two great programs: the great exe for
governing the turn, the lesser command line for governing the
generation;
17 And the Jeffs set them in the expanse of the game to give light to
the stars,
18 and to govern the x file and the m file and to separate the race
file from the host file. And the Jeffs saw that it was good.
19 And evening was and morning was: the fourth day.
20 And the Jeffs said, "Let the stars teem with the ships of AI races,
and let the Nees fly above the planets across the face of the expanse
of the galaxy." And so it was.
21 And so the Jeffs created the great PRTs and every type of living
(and non-living) moving creature with which the galaxies teem,
according to their proper kind, and every variation of LRT, according
to their proper kind. And the Jeffs saw that it was good.
22 And the Jeffs blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and increase, and
fill the stars of the galaxy with your 20% PGR, and let the tri-immune
settle the multitude of planets."
23 And evening was and morning was: the fifth day.
24 And the Jeffs said, "Let the galaxy produce living creatures
according to their proper kind: PP, JOAT, and SS, according to their
proper kind." And so it was.
25 And the Jeffs made the War Mongers according the their proper kinds,
and the Interstellar Travelers according to its proper kind, and even
the Alternate Reality that fly across the stars, according to their
proper kind. And the Jeffs saw that it was good.
26 Then the Jeffs said, "Let us recruit players in our own image, in
our likeness, and let them fight over the stars of the galaxy, with
their own creations, according to its proper kind, against the AI, and
to pop-drop upon the planets, or to fling packets as they will."
27 So the Jeffs recruited players in the image of themselves, the
Cawleys, the Bennets, even the Orcas who swim in the deep.
28 And the Jeffs blessed them, and said to them, "Be fruitful, and play
blitz, and fill the galaxy as you conquer it. And destroy the annoying
Robotoids, destroy the Turindromes, and rule over every opposing race
in the galaxy."
29 Then the Jeffs said, "See, I give you every PRT on the face of the
galaxy, and every LRT that is available, with factory and mining
settings that will be as food to you.
30 And to every PRT and every LRT and every factory setting, every
mining rate, [I give] a cost for each so that there may be balance. But
of the Mystery Trader I will tell you nothing." And so it was.
31 And the Jeffs saw all that they had made, and it was very good.
Evening was and morning was: the sixth day.

Chapter 2:

1 Thus the game of Stars! was completed in all its vast array.
2 And the Jeffs finished on the seventh day the work that they had been
doing. So they rested on the seventh day from all the work that they
had done.
3 And Sean ordered his copy of Stars! from Empire upon the seventh day,
and still has not received it.
4 These were the origins of the host file and the xy file when they
were created.
